Part 3 of the Jane Austen Inspired Party

It was great to have a stamping party where everyone worked on one stamp set. We all helped each other create wonderful cards and yet each was very different. What inspired me to make this card was the paper. I love black and creme or just black and white. The elegant designs in the background just made me feel like I was in a Jane Austen story or movie. This was so easy to make. All I used was patterned paper, oval nestabilities, black brads, pop dots, black ribbon and tiny pearls to use on the silhouette.

The inside of the card I used my own generated sentiment on the computer using my Jane Austen font. Hope you like it!!!

Part 2 of the Jane Austen Inspired Cards

The next card was made by Patti, my sister's sister-in-law. I absolutely love this card because it is so elegant for a wedding. The entire card was made with nestabilities, a cuttlebug embossing folder and pearls. What do you think about this one? I bet you wish you were at our party!!! A little wine, some paper and some stamps and the creative juices just start to flow out of our fingers.

Don't you just love that veil? I fell in love with that little touch on the card. I love the versatility of this stamp. You can make a wedding, birthday, and a hello friend card. Hey for all you card makers out there, what other type of card can we make using this stamp? Leave a comment if you have a different idea. We would love to hear from you!!!!

Jane Austen Inspired Cards

I know I live in the year 2012 but I have such a passion for the 1800-1900s. When I saw the Hero Arts Silhouettes stamp, I just knew I had to have it! Not only did I get it, but my sister and her sister-in-law too. So, I decided we should have a "Stamping of the Silhouettes" party at my house. We had a little wine, some snacks and the creative juices just started to flow. I will show you the cards we made one day at a time. We were so inspired by this set and our love for Jane Austen that we made many cards to show you and hope to make many more different ones in the future.

This first card was my creation using pearls on the silhouette. It's a very simple card. I used my oval nestabilities, brown polka dot paper, and dark brown paper. The Jane Austen font I downloaded for free and typed the birthday sentiment on a little banner. Here is the inside of the card:

On the inside I used the same polka dot paper and my nestabities and added the sentiment using my Jane Austen font. I hope you like it. Let me know what you think!
