MTME Pretty Pattern Design

Well it's been a bit hectic around here...soccer season, school projects and just life in general. I am surprised I got this card made on time. We are getting into the swing of Halloween around here, costume shopping with the kids and thought this card would jump start me into the season. My card was made with the  Spooky Surprise digital stamp set and Hauntingly Homemade Paper. I just loved the witch's feet and the all of the elements included with the stamp set. I used my nestabilities to cut out the borders around the stamps and added Micheal's $1.00 bin rhinestones in purple and black. I used prismacolor pencils and glitter gel pens to color in the stamp. I printed all of the paper on one 8.5x11 sheet of cardstock and used my Cuttlebug Spider Web embossing folder. Sorry the picture is not that great, but I took the picture at night with poor lighting:(   I used my Martha Stewart graveyard border punch. Well I am off  to start running around again have a great day!!!!!

MTME Pretty Pattern Design

I have been working on my MTME Pretty Pattern Design card. I purchased Photoshop Elements to work with the digital stamps and paper and discovered like anything else it has a learning curve  but the savings in storage space and the ability to have all of my colors match was great. I loved this digital stamp set from MTME Grammy's Sewing Kit and the matching paper. I created a card for the seamstress in our lives my MIL, who has an upcoming birthday. I knew this card needed some sewing elements as well. I printed all of the digital paper on one  8x11 sheet of cardstock including the stamp. I grabbed some lace and ribbon and ruffled it on my Janome mini and added some decorative pins. Following the card, sketch I added 3 buttons to the bottom and rhinestones on top of them for some bling. This card came together in no time at all. Below you can see the sketch. and a close up of the bling buttons. Hope you like it and that it lives up to the rest of  the design team's talent.

Stamping Bella Bday Card

I needed a Birthday card for a young lady and there is always a Stamping Bella stamp that seems to be appropriate for every occasion. I stamped my Bella with Memento ink colored her in with my Prismacolor pencils. Stamped a PTI Happy Birthday on vellum and attached 2 buttons. The curve on the bottom of the green piece of cardstock was cut with my nesties and I attached stones. Voila a Birthday card!!!! I have soccer games today with the kiddos and its picture day so I will be out on the hot humid fields all day. We will jump into the pool upon the immediate arrival to our home.

Just a simple inside to have a pretty spot to write  birthday wishes for the recipient...Have a great weekend.

MTME Pretty Patterns

I am excited to announce I have been selected to be on the MTME Pretty Patterns Team. We will have sketches assigned and have to create a card with Lauren Meader's great digital stamps and paper. I hope my creative juices can live up to the team's talent. I am still learning how to work with the digital stamps and paper but I am sure with time I will learn some shortcuts. For now, I created a hair bow card to match gift wrapping paper that I purchased at Target for a birthday gift for my daughter's friend.
I am hoping for a Silhouette but for now I used my Expression and Make the Cut to create the card. The card base is 4.25 x 5.5 an A2 card. I embossed piece of purple cardstock with my seeing spots cuttlebug embossing folder. In Make the Cut, I created a tag and cut a square and so I would have how to attach the bow to the card, I punched two holes with a regular hole punch and with my exacto knife cut a straight line and attached it with pop dots. I used one of my Cricut Cartridges to cut the leaves in green cardstock and taped everything with my ATG. I used the colors that were on the gift wrapping paper as my inspiration. The bow was just a flower glued to a hair clip and a large rhinestone glued to the center. The lines around the card were done with a good old fashion ruler and a white gel pen. The stamps were my sister's PTI stamps I believe I used the number and handmade stamp from one of the friendship jars fillers. I put the card into a clear PTI box so the hair bow was visible. I hope she liked the card and bow......I hope you enjoyed it as well.
