Thanks to Chic n Scratch I have been dabbling in sewing some totes and I'm totally hooked. I have been experimenting making different kinds of bags. Let me begin by saying I am not an experienced quilter but I love how easy some sewing projects can be. I made this bag using coordinating fabrics from Joann Fabrics and my Big Shot. You can see the tutorial on the Chic n Scratch blog.http://www.chicnscratchlive.com/2009/11/rag-quilt-purse-video.html. I have made two of these totes in different sizes. Here is a larger version and soon I'll show you my smaller tote. Let me know what you think. I'd love to hear from you. Vanessa
I love this Vintage Picnic stamp set from PTI. I cased Becky Ohlers card from the PTI gallery and will fill this card with a Target gift card for the teachers. These were easily mass produced but I should have realized Becky's card was larger so I had to adjust a bit to accomodate for the smaller A2 card size. Deets: PTI Vintage Picnic; Markers: Prismacolor; glassine bag and cardstock: Michaels; Twine and button: Joanne; Ribbon: Offray; Punches SU,scallop and label

Sorry I have been MIA but school is rapidly ending here in South Fla and there is lots to do. I will attempt to be a better blogger and post more projects with end of school teachers gifts and Father's day around the corner I should have some stuff to share. Vanessa also has some quilting projects in the works. My sister will verify I am usually a day late or a dollar short so I will explain what happened. The project I wanted to share with you is the project I intended to post for PTI blog hop but since I got the days all mixed up I missed it completely. The challenge was to create something with tissue paper and I made a Mother's Day card which I am going to mass produce again for Birthday cards. The flower and ruffled border were made out of tissue paper and then sprayed with my homemade glimmer mist. It is really pretty and shimmery in person. I hope you enjoyed my card all the deets are below. Stamps: PTI Delightful Dahlia, Everday Blessings; Nestabilties labels 1; Brown card base, green cardstock, rhinestones Micheals; tissue paper; Designer paper: Kay and Company; Martha Stewart Cornice punch; SU chocolate chip ink
Since my sister and I have decided to join the blogging world I hope you enjoy our first post and follow us. This weekend was my son's 1st Communion and these are the invitations I created for the occasion. I wanted simple yet masculine. I wish I could capture in the photograph how pretty they really were in person....
We are two sisters who love all kinds of crafts and can't decide 'which' one to do. We love card making, scrapbooking, jewelry making, and quilting. We are both married and have children, a boy and girl each that we adore. We hope you enjoy our projects and we always look forward to learning new things from you too.
